The Privé Retreat Davos marked the beginning of something truly special. What started as a simple vision quickly became the foundation of an international community built on trust, meaningful relationships, and shared experiences.
For three unforgettable days, we welcomed 15 international destination wedding planners from the United States alongside 20 carefully selected industry professionals from across Europe. What started as our very first retreat quickly became proof that meaningful connections flourish when people are given the time and space to truly get to know one another.
A Kick-Off to Remember
The retreat began high above Davos on Fuxägufer, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, sparkling snow, and brilliant sunshine.
Over traditional Swiss cheese fondue, Kaiserschmarrn, and Aperol Spritz, the hosts, wedding planners, and selected industry partners met in person for the very first time. Conversations flowed naturally, introductions turned into genuine connections, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement for the days ahead.
Looking back, this was the moment The Privé Retreat Davos truly came to life. Watching strangers connect so effortlessly confirmed what we had hoped from the very beginning. It was more than an idea. It was the start of something extraordinary.
Discovering Davos Together
The second day intentionally offered guests time to experience Davos at their own pace. Whether skiing, ice skating, enjoying a walk through the winter landscape, or simply relaxing in the wellness area, these shared experiences became just as valuable as the scheduled program itself.
In the afternoon, guests enjoyed an exclusive site visit at Hotel Waldhuus Davos, exploring its charming rooms, suites, and wedding facilities while discovering the many possibilities the venue offers for unforgettable celebrations.
Throughout the day, conversations continued naturally, with new ideas, collaborations, and friendships taking shape.
An Evening to Celebrate
The retreat concluded with an unforgettable Gala Dinner at Hotel Schatzalp.
Beautifully styled by Rosa, the evening was accompanied by the elegant live music of Calathea Moments, creating an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and deeply personal. Between exceptional cuisine, heartfelt conversations, and carefully curated details, the evening perfectly reflected everything The Privé Retreat Davos was created to stand for: meaningful relationships, authentic conversations, and lasting partnerships.
For us as hosts, it was also an emotional moment. This first retreat showed us that our vision had become reality. The relationships formed over these three days proved that authentic connection will always be more valuable than collecting business cards.
